FAQs
What sets you apart from other planners?
My background in education and experience teaching in the classroom lends itself to my ability to seamlessly plan and organize events, manage rowdy bridal parties, and corral guests when needed. I am exceptionally creative and have an eye for detail. In addition to my own personal qualities, I also provide every bride with their own, custom online planning portal full of my best planning resources like a Budget Tracker, Wedding Planning Dos and Don'ts, an RSVP Tracker and more.
What organizational tools do you use/provide?
Every Goforth Event Planning couple has full access to their own personalized online planning portal that I will walk you through step by step. In your portal you have unlimited access to all of my professional planning tools and resources. You can keep track of everything in one place and we can collaborate on documents like your Details Tracker or Wedding Planning Checklist together.
What is the difference between a venue coordinator and a day-of coordinator?
Simply put - a venue coordinator works for the venue and your day-of coordinator works for you! The venue manager is generally responsible for anything directly relating the venue - layout, tables/chairs, bathrooms, the facility itself. As your wedding manager I will manage and direct all of your vendors, keep track of the timeline, handle day-of emergencies, and be the point of contact and check in person for everyone.
Do you have a preferred vendors list?
I sure do! This is one of the awesome resources I provide each of my couples in their online planning portal.
Do you receive a percentage back from your preferred vendors?
No, I do not. I recommend them because they're good at what they do and they're good people. While I would absolutely love for you to work with my preferred vendors because I know we work well together and I can vouch for their service, I am always working with vendors outside of my preferred vendor list, too. I love meeting and working with new vendors and business owners.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! I will travel anywhere you need me to go! I do charge a standard travel fee of 10-20% depending on the location of your event. If you're planning more of a destination type of event, we will work out a different travel fee that covers overnight accommodations if needed.
